At DN Tanks, we lead by following principles that have stood the test of time — and by embracing the future that we’re building together.

All of our leaders bring deep expertise that helps deliver successful client outcomes and develop the talents of our own team members. One of the most important things we nurture, throughout all levels of the business, is a commitment to collaboration. We team with our colleagues and with our clients to find the best ideas and bring the most effective solutions. In fact, this principle is reflected in one of our core values: We not me. The “we” is a promise made to each other. Our leaders fulfill a heart-felt mandate — to steward the firm to success, and to pass on an even healthier enterprise to the next generation of future-builders.

Bill Crowley

Bill Crowley

President & CEO

I began my career at DN Tanks in 1985, immediately after graduating from college. For several years I trained as a laborer and carpenter working on projects throughout the country. I enjoyed various roles overseeing construction, operations and business development before assuming responsibilities as President & CEO in 2021.

What Built for the Future Means to Me:

Built for the Future represents our mindset at DN Tanks to always think long term. It’s demonstrated in the design and construction of our tanks, our commitment to servicing our customers, and the investments we make in our people and culture.

My favorite project, event, or memory at DN Tanks:

A significant inflection point was the 2011 merger between DYK, based in San Diego and servicing the western region, and Natgun based in Boston and Dallas and covering the eastern and central regions. Sharing our experience and deep knowledge of the industry has improved our ability to service our customers and allowed us to become a nationwide organization.

I began my career at DN Tanks as a co-op student at Northeastern University in 2000. Over the last 20+ years, I have had the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in several areas of our business including engineering, estimating, the field, sales and operations. I have enjoyed working alongside some amazing people and am currently the Executive Vice President of Work Acquisition, overseeing marketing, sales, estimating and engineering.

What Built for the Future Means to Me:

Built for the Future is the basis for how we make every important decision at DN Tanks. It is at the foundation of how we design and construct our tanks, invest in our people and culture and deliver on our commitments to our clients.

My favorite project, event, or memory at DN Tanks:

My favorite part of DN Tanks is the people and their commitment to making DN Tanks a special place. We have an incredible group of loyal and committed team members who help make DN Tanks a great place to work and build a career.

Mike Azarela

Mike Azarela

Executive Vice President

I joined DN Tanks as a member of its Board of Directors in 2018. After being on the Board for two years, I had the opportunity to become the CFO. Having 40+ years experience in the construction industry, I saw what a uniquely focused company this was, and its vision and values aligned well with my own. It’s an energetic and rewarding company to be a part of and in my current role of EVP I enjoy being instrumental in supporting and being a part of DN Tanks’ success.

What Built for the Future Means to Me:

To me, Built for the Future represents DN Tanks’ commitment to finding the best talent to deliver on our mission to provide our clients with an unrivaled customer experience.

Charlie Crowley

Charlie Crowley

Chairman of the Board

I came to work for DN Tanks in 1981. I had the privilege of being the company’s CEO from 1991-2020. I am currently the Chairman of DN Tanks’ Board of Directors.

What Built for the Future Means to Me:

Built for the Future represents the DN Tank’s commitment to making decisions in the best long term interest of the company and our clients. We want our employees, our business partners and most importantly our clients to know that our company, just like our tanks, will be there for generations to come.

My favorite project, event, or memory at DN Tanks:

Of all of the decisions we made in my forty plus years with DN Tanks, the most impactful was unquestionably our decision in 2006 to build our office/operations center in Grand Prairie, TX. As I look back, this was an inflection point for the company where we transitioned to become a company with a national presence rather than a regional company that opportunistically pursued work outside of its regional boundaries.
